Hi, I am Sam, the other half of Your Special Day! Growing up, I have never known what career I would like to aim for in the future. I started working as an Accounts Assistant when I was 18 years old and still work for the same company almost 14 years later! In that time I have had two lovely children who are now 10 & 11 years old.
It was never my dream to work in accounts and over the years I have realised that my passions are working with people, getting to know people and helping them in any way I can. When I got married in July 2016, I absolutely loved every aspect of planning my wedding. We looked at many different possible venues and not one of them jumped out at us, it felt like we were just in a long queue of people doing the same old thing. We hadn’t long bought our own house which needed (and still does need) a lot of maintenance work completing on it.
As soon as you mention the word ‘wedding’, prices seem to get very expensive..... so we decided to hire a local village hall and do all of the work ourselves! This not only cut costs dramatically, but enabled us to make the day more personal to us. Along with the help of family and friends, we made our own centrepieces, invitations, room decorations and even our own white lining inside the hall!
My sister-in-law Zoe and I have set up our own company as we believe we can help you with your wedding or special event. We are both passionate about helping you to have that wonderful day which you will never forget. As we have both planned our own weddings on a budget, we can help you with ideas on how to cut costs and choose alternatives without paying a fortune for what you want. We have many items we can hire out at sensible prices, we can make/design items to suit your theme
and even go and tidy up the next day for you! We want to help you have Your Special Day. Sam xx
